HC Deb 25 March 1959 vol 602 c125W
75. Mr. Teeling

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of the conflicting findings of the British inquest and the Portuguese inquiry on the death of Mr. and Mrs. Trist in Portugal, he will request the Portuguese Government to allow a copy of the report of the Portuguese inquiry to be sent either to Dr. Keith Simpson, the pathologist who gave evidence at the Southwark inquest, or to the relatives of the deceased or their lawyer.

Mr. R. Allan

The Portuguese authorities have informed Her Majesty's Ambassador at Lisbon that they will give him a copy of the report of the Portuguese findings as soon as it has been completed.

I will then arrange for copies to be made available to the relatives of the deceased.
