HC Deb 25 March 1959 vol 602 c135W
95. Mr. du Cann

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will institute a late collection from the letter box in Smith Square, London, S.W.1, on Saturdays.

Mr. K. Thompson

I am sorry I should not be justified in doing as my hon. Friend asks since letters collected on Sunday from this box are all due to be delivered on Monday morning, except for a few addressed to the north of Scotland, Northern Ireland, or overseas. These can be posted up to 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Post Office at 72, Horseferry Road.
