asked the Secretary of of State for the Colonies what proportion of those eligible registered as electors in the three electoral districts of Hargeisa, Berbera, and Burao in the Somaliland Protectorate.

Approximately 14 per cent., 9 per cent. and 46 per cent. respectively, but many of those eligible to register are nomads, particularly in the Berbera district.
