asked the Secretary of State for War what plans he has for the future of Fort George.

Mr. Soames

Fort George will be used as the depôt of part of the Highland Brigade until new accommodation is available for the whole depôt at Aberdeen. This I expect to be in 1963. I cannot at present say whether there will be a military use for the fort thereafter, but this question will be explored in the meantime.
