47. Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Prime Minister if he has considered a resolution sent to him by the Aberdeen Branch of the Scottish Council for African Questions, passed by them on 6th March, 1959, calling on Her Majesty's Government to appoint an authoritative commission of Members representative of both Houses of Parliament to go to Africa immediately to inquire into the present disturbances in Nyasaland and report back; and what reply he has sent, or proposes to send, to that resolution.
