asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what schemes for electricity supply by the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board to serve the islands of Harris, North Uist, and Barra, he now has before him; and when he expects to be able to announce his decisions.

As regards North Uist and Barra, my right hon. Friend cannot add to the reply that he gave to the hon. Member on 18th December last. As regards Harris, the hon. Member will be aware that the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board have started work on a hydro-electric scheme at Chliostair.
