HC Deb 11 March 1959 vol 601 c109W
20. Sir A. Hurd

asked the Postmaster-General when he expects measures will be taken to improve the reception of British Broadcasting Corporation television in West Berkshire and adjoining districts.

Mr. Marples

The Corporation says that reception of its television programmes should generally be satisfactory in most parts of the area if suitable receivers and directional aerials are used. There is no immediate prospect of an increase in the signal strength of the transmissions but reception conditions in this and other similar areas are being kept under review.
