HC Deb 11 March 1959 vol 601 c118W
85. Mr. P. Williams

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty how many orders for new ships have been placed in the first two months of 1959; what is the tonnage involved for United Kingdom yards; and what are the figures for yards in the north-east.

Mr. T. G. D. Galbraith

Information of orders obtained by United Kingdom yards is reported to the Admiralty at the end of each quarter. In the latter half of April I shall have information of orders for January, February and March together but I shall not have separate information for the first two months alone.
