HC Deb 11 March 1959 vol 601 c122W
Mr. Patrick Maitland

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer to what extent Her Majesty's Government have been giving expert and detailed study to the proposals of Mr. St. Clare Grondona, of which official note has been taken, about commodity prices and stocking; and what is the result.

Mr. Erroll

The Government have been well aware of Mr. Grondona's ideas as developed over many years and have never been able to reach the view that his plans could be put into practice.
