(1) in Derbyshire, the urban districts of Heanor and Ripley and part of the rural district of Belper (viz.: Shipley, Smalley and Pentrich) and (2) in Nottinghamshire, the urban district of Eastwood and part of the rural district of Basford (viz.: Brinsley, Felley, Greasley, Kimberley, and Selston).The population is estimated to be about 70,000 of whom just over 40 per cent. are resident in Nottinghamshire.

Dale Abbey, Draycott and Church Wilne, Hopwell, Risley, Sandiacre, Stanton by Dale and West Hallam in the Shardlow Rural District.In Nottinghamshire: Eastwood Urban District, and the Parishes of Awsworth, Brinsley, Cossall, Greasley, Kimberley and Trowell in the Basford Rural District.The estimated population is about 145,000 of which about 17 per cent. is in Nottinghamshire.
