HC Deb 10 March 1959 vol 601 c96W
71. Sir T. Moore

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what progress has been made in preparing legislation to implement the Report of the Committee presided over by Lord Mackintosh, on the subject of intestate succession, in 1951; and if he will now make a further statement on the matter.

Mr. Maclay

I regret that I cannot at present add to my reply to the hon. and learned Member for Aberdeen, North (Mr. Hector Hughes) on 12th December, when I told him that legislation is being prepared but that I cannot yet say when it will be possible to introduce a Bill.
