§ 77. Mr. Snowasked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of his decision to increase the flower bulb quota to £3,745,000 for 1959–60, he will 100W now reconsider the desirability of abolishing this quota at an early date, having regard to the frustration which it gives to those who want to expand their bulb-growing activities in this country and the damage which it does to Anglo-Dutch trade relations.
§ Mr. Vaughan-MorganNo. The decision recently announced was reached after full consideration of all the present circumstances. It is, of course, the policy of Her Majesty's Government to abolish quota restrictions as and when we can.
