§ 12. Mr. Shortasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what additional assistance he is prepared to give to local authorities in the North of England which are forced to undertake considerable sea defence works.
§ Mr. BevinsGrants have already been given, or promised to a number of local authorities in the North of England towards the cost of works carried out under the Coast Protection Act, 1949. My right hon. Friend is not aware that any additional assistance is required.
