§ Sir J. Hutchisonasked the Minister of Defence what agreement has been come to with the German Federal Republic on the joint production of a medium-weight tank.
§ Mr. SandysDiscussions are proceeding on operational characteristics, and prototypes of the tanks now being developed in each country will be tested by the other. I hope that we shall in due course reach an agreement which will permit joint development and production of a new medium tank, but it is too early at present to make any firm forecast.
