§ 68 and 69. Mr. A. Hendersonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (1) what reservations were made by Her Majesty's Government when signing the European Convention for the Peaceful Settlement of Disputes;
(2) why the European Convention for the Peaceful Settlement of Disputes has not yet been ratified by Her Majesty's Government.
§ Mr. R. AllanHer Majesty's Government made no reservations on signing the Convention. Reservations would, however, be required on ratification. The decision whether or not to ratify depends in part on the nature and extent of these reservations. The drafting of a possible declaration embodying the United Kingdom reservations has been unexpectedly complicated but is now almost complete.
