Mr. Gresham Cookeasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the confusion caused by the various recommendations being made by official and unofficial bodies with regard to the advertising of pharmaceutical products, he will state the membership and terms of reference of the Advertising Inquiry Committee which has recently submitted recommendations to him on this subject.
§ Mr. Walker-SmithThe Advertising Inquiry Committee is not an official body set up by me and I have not sought any report from it. Although, as I said in reply to the hon. Member for Swindon (Mr. F. Noel-Baker) I have received a report from the Chairman of the Health Panel of this Committee, I have no information about the Committee's membership or terms of reference.
