§ Mr. ErrollI would refer the hon. Gentleman for the answer to the first part of his Question to the reply which my right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour and National Service is giving him today on average weekly working hours. An index of output per man-year in industry for 1954 to 1958 was given in Table 18 of the Economic Survey 1959 (Cmnd. 708). On a roughly comparable basis output per man-year in industry rose by 15 per cent. between 1946 and 1951, and by 30 per cent. between 1946 and 1958.
