§ 15. Mr. Grimondasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if, in view of the findings of the Devlin Commission, he will give an assurance that Mr. Chiume will not be detained on his return to Nyasaland.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydNo. If and when Mr. Chiume returns to Nyasaland, the question of whether he should or should not be detained is a matter for the Governor to decide, taking into consideration the circumstances obtaining at the time.
