§ Mr. Footasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies, if he will state the number of detainees in Kenya who have appealed to the Advisory Committee; the number of recommendations for release made to the Committee; and the number of such recommendations accepted by the Governor in each year since 1952.

123WUntil all the individual records have been examined I will not be able to say in how many cases each year, since 1952, the Governor accepted the Advisory Committee's recommendations for releasing detainees. I will write to the hon. and learned Member in due course.
