§ Mr. BevinsThe council told my right hon. Friend recently that it had decided to demolish the tower because it appeared to be dangerous. My right hon. Friend is aware of the local concern and of the possibility of an appeal for funds. He has urged the council to make the tower safe for the time being without demolishing it.
