§ The Attorney-GeneralMy noble Friend the Lord Chancellor is amending the Legal Aid (Assessment of Resources) Regulations, 1950, so as to bring the Rules for computing allowances in respect of income, broadly speaking, into line with the scale rates for National Assistance.
My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland is making similar amendments to the Legal Aid (Scotland) Assessment of Resources Regulations, 1950. Other changes must await consideration of detailed recommendations recently submitted by my noble Friend's Advisory Committee.
