§ 74. Commander Purseyasked the Minister of Health if he is aware of the difficulties experienced at night by a doctor in Hull with a serious emergency hospital case, in a slum clearance house with no telephone, to obtain a hospital bed without serious delay; and if he will make arrangements for such inquiries to be passed to a central bureau official with a register of beds and so avoid unnecessary delay to the disadvantage of both patient and doctor.
§ Mr. R. ThompsonThe arrangements in Hull for admitting emergency cases to hospital were explained in my right hon. and learned Friend's reply of 29th June, and I am not aware of this incident. If the hon. and gallant Member will send me details of any difficulties experienced by a general practitioner I will be glad to look into them.
