§ 105. Mr. P. Noel-Bakerasked the Under-Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations whether he is aware that the Inter-Governmental Committee for European Migration has since 1952 assisted 233,000 migrants to settle in Australia and 143,000 to settle in Canada; and what representations he has received from the Australian and Canadian Governments suggesting that Her Majesty's Government should become a member of the Inter-Governmental Committee for European Migration.
§ Mr. AlportI am not aware of any recent approach from the Canadian Government. I discussed the matter with Mr. Downer, the Australian Minister for Immigration, during his visit here last month.
