§ Mr. Smithersasked the Secretary of State for War how many properties requisitioned in 1939 under the Defence Act and Regulations are still in his Department's occupation; how many of these properties he proposes to acquire for his Department by purchase; and how many of them his Department proposes to occupy after the end of the current year.
§ Mr. SoamesWe hold 85 sites on requisition and intend to buy or lease 42 of them. We shall have about 60 remaining at the end of this year. The sites were requisitioned on various dates from 1939 onwards.
