§ 81. Sir W. Wakefieldasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs 119W what opportunities have been given for interested parties to see the proposed design for the building of Wyndham House on the bombed site adjacent to Wyndham Place, Montague Place, and Bryanston Square, in view of the importance of harmonising the design of the proposed new building with the surrounding Georgian architecture before planning permission is granted.
§ Mr. H. BrookeApproval of the design of the proposed building rests primarily with the London County Council, as local planning authority. I understand that they consulted the Royal Fine Art Commission, when the proposal was first submitted and that the Commission raised no objection; and that they are now consulting the St. Marylebone Borough Council.
