§ Mr. Gurdenasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs if he will consider legislation to prevent local authorities withholding official information and public notice advertisements from the Press, when, as in the present printing dispute, emergency editions of newspapers are being produced.
§ Mr. H. BrookeOn many occasions I have made clear my view that local authorities should be forthcoming in providing facilities for the Press to report their proceedings, decisions and actions. But I have no legislation in mind of the particular character which my hon. Friend suggests.
