§ Mr. Masonasked the Minister of Health what progress is being made by the Medical Research Council in its investigations of the effects on humans of internal radiation; and when it intends to publish a report of its findings.
§ Mr. Walker-SmithI have been asked to reply as representing the Lord President of the Council.
The Medical Research Council has for some years been supporting work on the effects of internal radiation both in its own units and by making grants to other centres. In accordance with the Council's normal practice, the results of these studies, as they are completed, are published by the investigators themselves as papers in scientific journals and lists of references are included in the Council's Annual Report to Parliament.
