HC Deb 21 January 1959 vol 598 c21W
2. Mr. G. Thomas

asked the Postmaster-General why it has taken so long for Post Office engineers to attend to the faulty telephone service at the Harlingford Hotel, W.C.1; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Thompson

The work was completed on 19th December. Temporary repairs were made to faults that had developed on the old installation. But a new telephone extension system was needed, and because of accumulation of work in the area, this unfortunately took longer to provide than we like in such cases.
