HC Deb 26 February 1959 vol 600 c190W
Mr. Moss

asked the Minister of Labour to what extent apprentices now receive their training in apprenticeship works schools and in joint training centres, in accordance with the suggestions made in paragraph 40 of the Report of the Carr Committee, "Training For Skill."

Mr. Wood

While no figures are available it is known that a number of firms have their own apprenticeship works schools. So far as I am aware, little use is at present being made of joint training centres.
