§ Mr. NugentThere are at present six examiners in North Wales itself, six at Chester where many candidates from North Wales are tested, and 91 elsewhere in the North-Western Traffic Area.
§ 114. Mr. C. Hughesasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation how many persons are on the waiting list for driving tests in each of the six North Wales counties; what is the waiting period; and how this compares with the national average.

I am circulating below the numbers of persons waiting to be tested at each of the nine centres where residents in North Wales are normally tested. The average waiting period at these centres is 10 weeks, which is about the same as the average for the country as a whole.
