§ 53. Mr. Sorensenasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what further action he has taken to encourage adjacent local authorities, particularly in the Greater London area, to pool their lists of applications for housing accommodation in respect of applications outstanding for over five years or in special need on grounds of mental and physical ill-health.
§ Mr. H. BrookeLocal authorities already give full weight to ill-health in considering housing need. I have not urged them to adopt schemes for the pooling of applications, because, as I told the hon. Member on 11th March last, I doubt whether this would be considered practicable by any local authority.
