asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty how many warships and Royal Naval auxiliary craft which were completed subsequent to 1st January, 1944, have been scrapped or otherwise disposed of.

1,885, of which 1,805 were landing ships and craft, minesweepers, auxiliaries and M.T.Bs., the great majority of which were constructed for the invasion of Western Europe and for the Japanese war.
