HC Deb 18 February 1959 vol 600 c59W
93. Sir L. Plummer

asked the Secretary of State for War which units of the British Army are to attend the Trade Fair in Lisbon next May; and what is the number of troops concerned and the estimated cost involved.

Mr. Soames

Contingents totalling 14 officers and 272 men will be drawn from the Grenadier Guards, Coldstream Guards and Scots Guards, The Royal Scots, Seaforth Highlanders, The Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders, The Green Jackets Brigade and The Army Physical Training Corps. All extra costs are being borne by the sponsors of the fair and there will be no additional charge to public funds. The profit will be divided between British and Portuguese service charities.
