HC Deb 17 February 1959 vol 600 c35W
104. Mr. Wall

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will take steps to amend the legislation by which the head of a Government Department in Mauritius can be prosecuted by the Attorney-General for dismissing an employee on the instructions of the Attorney-General.

Mr. Amery

I am advised that the curious situation to which the hon. Member refers has not arisen and could not arise. It would therefore seem unnecessary to amend the legislation. If, however, the hon. Member could explain more precisely what he has in mind, I will certainly consider his suggestion further.
