asked the Postmaster-General how many applicants for telephone service are on the waiting list, at the nearest convenient date, in the postal districts of Morpeth, Ashington and Newbiggin in the County of Northumberland; and whether he will make a statement.

122 telephones were installed in these three places in the past 12 months and it is hoped to improve on this figure in the current year.
