AmeryOf the 68 teachers (including assistants and pupil teachers) responsible for the education of St. Helena's 526 school children, only three have attended teachers' training colleges in the United Kingdom. Two teachers are at present on scholarships being trained in this country and a further teacher has been selected for training this224W year. Consideration is being given to intensive in-service training by the Assistant Education Officer.
