79. Lieut.-Colonel Bromley-Davenport

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, in view of the difficulty of maintaining sufficient taxis on the London streets when fog conditions develop, he will consider introducing a system by which taxi drivers will be authorised to increase their fares during such period as may be officially announced over the broadcasting service as being a fog period in the Metropolitan area.
