asked the Minister of Health how and when the 1945 agreement with the Prison Officers Association in regard to rents for official houses was cancelled; and to what extent this was done by mutual consent.

Mr. Walker-Smith

The 1945 agreement, which applied only to Broadmoor, was superseded by one made in 1950 between the Minister of Health and the Board of Control, on the one hand, and the Prison Officers Association, on the other, which applied National Health Service pay and conditions of service to the nursing staff at all three State Institutions.
