HC Deb 11 February 1959 vol 599 c199W
71. Mr. E. Fletcher

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what reply he has received from the United States Government to the British protest against recent official American complaints to the effect that the formulation of plans to meet the contingency of another Berlin blockade were being impeded by British objections to the use of land forces; and whether he will give an assurance that it remains the policy of Her Majesty's Government to co-ordinate with Great Britain's Allies all necessary plans to ensure the maintenance of all British rights in Berlin.

Mr. Profumo

There has been no American complaint. The answer to the second part of the Question is "Yes."
