Mr. Zilliacusasked the Prime Minister to what extent the declaration of the Minister of Defence at the Bagdad Pact Ministerial Conference in Karachi, to the effect that the military obligations of the alliance must be maintained, in spite of the withdrawal of Iraq, including the obligation to defend the territories of Bagdad Pact signatories against alleged Communist subversion, represented the policy of Her Majesty's Government.
