HC Deb 09 February 1959 vol 599 c147W
Sir A. Bossom

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will advise some treatment that will give the same results as spraying or dipping of sheep, but which would be less difficult to handle and less expensive.

Mr. John Hare

Sheep scab was eliminated from Great Britain by the organised use of sheep dips and no outbreak of the disease has occurred in this country since 1952. I do not know of any other treatment that is easier and cheaper but equally effective.
