asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what authorities have been given, and are outstanding, for the export of arms to South American countries; and if he will specify which countries, and the categories of arms in each case.

As was stated by my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary on 4th December, 1956, it is not the normal practice of Her Majesty's Government to disclose details of the categories and quantities of arms authorised for export to particular countries.
