asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation in view of the major engineering works being carried out under the modernisation plan of British Railways, to what extent he has found it necessary to represent to the British Transport Commission that trains should be retimed.

The arrangement of Railway time tables is within the scope of day to day management of British Railways. I have no responsibility for such day to day matters and have therefore made no representations.
