Mr. Knox Cunningham

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs which countries have, respectively, signed and ratified the European agreement on the exchange of television film programmes; and what is the policy of Her Majesty's Government in regard to such a convention.

The Governments of the following countries have signed this Agreement without reservation in respect of ratification:

  • France; United Kingdom.

The Governments of the following countries have signed the Agreement subject to ratification:

  • Belgium; Denmark; Greece; Italy; Luxembourg; Sweden; Turkey.

The Agreement will enter into force thirty days after the date on which a third member Government of the Council of Europe has signed it without reservation in respect of ratification, or has ratified it.

Her Majesty's Government, by signing without reservation in respect of ratification, have accepted the terms of the Agreement.
