Mr. W. R. Williams

asked the Minister of Labour (1) what was the number of unemployed persons registered at the local exchanges covering the districts of Openshaw, Bradford, Clayton and Newton Heath, respectively, in the city of Manchester and in Failsworth on 1st January, 1958 and 1959, respectively;

(2) what was the number of persons on part-time work in the Openshaw, Bradford, Clayton and Newton Heath districts of Manchester and in Failsworth on 1st January, 1959; and how the number compares with that for 1st January, 1958.
