Jonesasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs whether he is aware that there are some 248 families living in doubled-up conditions and a further 188 families with insufficient sleeping accommodation on the Hartlepool Borough Council's live housing list; and why he is restricting the Council to the building of 100 houses in 1959, when its proposed building programme provides for at least 154 houses in the year, thereby cutting the programme by some 33⅓ per cent.
