§ 98. Mr. Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will make a statement on his recent discussions and diplomatic consultations with France, Germany and the United States of America concerning the possible acceptance of a confederation of the two Germanys in place of reunification.
§ 104. Mr. Sorensenasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what further consultations have taken place with the United States and French Governments in respect of the future of Berlin and the pressure of the Government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics for the withdrawal of all non-German control from that city; and what direct communication on this matter he has received from that Government.
§ Mr. R. AllanWe are now consulting the United States Government and our other N.A.T.O. Allies about the Soviet Note of 10th January concerning Germany. My right hon. and learned Friend has had no further direct communication from the Soviet Government on this subject since that date. A reply will be sent to the Soviet Note as soon as these consultations have been completed.
