118. Mr. Emrys Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give an estimate of the number of new voters who would be added to the register if all persons between 18 and 21 years of age were added to it.

It is estimated that on 10th October, 1959, the number of persons in Scotland aged between 18 and 21 years was approximately 220,000.
