Dr. Bennettasked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the large numbers of cars removed daily on account of parking offences, he will take steps to institute a charge to be levied on the owners when they collect their cars.
§ Mr. MarplesThe Removal of Vehicles Regulations do not enable the police either to recover the costs incurred in towing away or to make any other form of charge. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Home Department and I will bear my hon. Friend's suggestion in mind.
