I regret that this suggestion is not practicable. The Downing Street houses will be emptied of their furnishings and fittings immediately the Prime Minister leaves, and work must start at once if it is to be completed within the period planned.
It is, however, hoped to give the Press facilities for taking photographs and films before work begins.
